Agra–Vaish Samaj is among the leading societies of India. Giving Nation personalities such as Maharaja Agrasen as the outstanding social reformer, Great Bhamashah as the pioneering philanthropist and Mahatma Gandhi-the harbinger of non-violence and satyagraha, the Agra-Vaish Samaj has kept the flag of its great traditions and heritage fluttering even today.

Priding in its great culture, the same is being passed from generation to generation. When it comes to philanthropy, Agra-Vaish Samaj has always held an upper hand. It’s to be noted that more than 84 percent works related to philanthropy and charity are being done by this Samaj. Besides having an overwhelming share in business, Agra-Vaish Samaj contributes almost one third of the total taxes to the state exchequer. In private sector too, 66 percent of the employment given to the rest of the societies and classes is provided by Agra-Vaish Samaj.

Agra-Vaish Samaj is well known for its tremendous contributions in the field of charity, philanthropy, sacrifice, human service and character build up. Apart from its services to the nation and its people, the Agra Vaish samaj also caters to the needs of various political parties by rendering its offerings through hospitality and providing electoral platform. Its cohesiveness is so strong that time and again it has helped in forming governments and toppling them when they have been found inefficient.

Frankly speaking, Agra-Vaish samaj has always been a ‘King Maker.’ Though it is still way behind when it comes to politics, however, with so many accolades and worth to its credit and the tremendous potential that it has, whether it behoves well for the samaj to beg for tickets from the political parties or for that matter seek reservation in employment in govt establishments? The samaj, which till now has always been known as the giver to the nation and has never sought anything in return, asking for tickets and reservation will never be held in high esteem. When you ask something, it makes you weak from within. If a society wants to make its presence felt in the political arena then it shouldn’t ask for tickets from the political parties rather it should make its mark felt by its works. One has to fix a target, an aim to accomplish this mission.

We’ve shining examples before us where a large number ofAgrabandhus with their firm belief in the inner strength and inherent power have reached glorious heights in politics. In order to carve a prestigious political niche we would have to fight it out our selves. We would have to radically change our thoughts. We would have to come out from the clichéd thinking that “my son will follow my foot steps.”

The reason why we have been backstaged in the political arena is the fact that we’ve always ignored politics. If we want to enter politics then we would have to develop political qualities and understanding of the political system in our children. We’ve to think politics as profession. Today Agra-vaish samaj is playing a leading role in all the sectors and this is because we’ve toiled hard to achieve this status. Similarly, if we want to play a pivotal role in politics then we would have to work very hard to achieve this aim. First make it a target and then put all your might into fulfilling your objective. Success will definitely be yours.
